Just another part of Delaware where they take something historical and then turn it into a tourist attraction to siphon money just to teach you your own history again they siphon money just to teach you your own history it's very pathetic and it's a current thing in Delaware if an outside party is reading this that has money please Sue Delaware for the ignorance they convey on the residents

I e-mailed twice inquiring about a tour. No response. I show up in person during the posted open hours and it's closed up. 3 employees outside completely ignored me. Very disappointing. The gardens are lovely, though.

The most interesting thing about the Governor's Mansion is the fact that it is so accessible! If the governor is not present, you can walk by the house and in the governor's gardens. The perks to living in such a small state. The mansion itself is in Georgian style, and it is so inconspicuous that unless there was a sign that said "Governor's Mansion," you would probably just assume that it was a cool old house. The Mansion is on the National Register of Historic Places, so drive by, snap a picture, and see if you can stroll by the gardens.

I attended a wedding here and it was truly lovely. Loved the experience and am happy to recommend this to visitors.
