Nice variety of shoes for the family mens dept. Nicely stocked they even had skechers.

I entered this store looking to buy a new pair of shoes. At entering the store I was not greeted. I saw maybe 4 employees and no one approached me or made eye contact. The store was reasonably clean and it seemed like they were stocking shoes in different areas of the store. I didnt purchase anything and I left without ever being greeted or acknowledged I was there. I don't think I will be returning here.

It was big and clean. The staff did not seem very interested in helping just kind of pointed you in the direction of what you were looking for. I was looking for a new pair of dress shoes and their stock was extremely limited was not able to find anything there.

I bought a pair of sandals at the Dover store..I got them home..and even though they were my size they were way too big..so i took them back and exchanged them for a pair of clearance sandals. .I being in a hurry..did not look close enough and picked up a size eight instead of a size 6..It is almost impossible to find shoes in small sizes anymore. .These weren't exactly what I was looking for..but I needed a pair of sandals for a trip so grabbed them and went out of the store..Got home and discovered I had picked up the wrong size..Got an 8 instead of a 6. I searched for my receipt but could not find it..I don't normally shop in the store but have bought a couple of pair of hiking boots online and really liked them..Found it much easier to find my size in boots than in sandals there. Anyway..I took the sandals back to the store..took them over to the young lady behind the counter. I told her my situation and she just told me..she couldn't..do anything about it if I didn''t have the receipt. .I said can I have a store credit..She said no..we don't do that..if I can't find the clearance item on the shelf I would just have to take the shoes back home with me. I said NO..emphatically. I do not want to take a pair of shoes back home with me that are useless to me and will sit in my closet..You have these shoes that I can't wear..can you exchange for something else or give me a store credit ..Again..no..I can't do that..In other words go home..we can't help you period..Again I said NO..I won't take these shoes home with me. You can keep them..Do whatever you want damage them out ..whatever but I don't want shoes that don't fit me . She of course comes up with it isn't our fault..I never said it was her fault..I took the blame for picking up the wrong size shoes. I am a customer..Help me out here..Do something to make this..a good experience. .She did nothing but argue and make things 10 times worse. The manager did try to help..and apparently the general manager was there and said we will get it fixed. Finally after almost walking out and never coming back..the other manager Nisha I believe was her name..helped me and gave me the money back . I would have accepted a credit..but that just kind of was thrown to the side..This was not a good experience in any way ..shape or form..but Nisha did save the day by..coming to the rescue after a long..long..long..altercation with the blonde associate...who needs to learn how to handle customers without making them feel as if they are an extreme pain in her butt . I don't know if I will ever go back to Shoe Carnival or not or if I will ever order anything from them again. There are so many shoe stores around that offer great customer service that to go through anything like that again is just most likely never going to lure me into going back into Shoe Carnival again. .I have managed a number of stores and never once did I make someone feel like they were disrespected but the young blonde lady at the front needs to call for a manager when she doesn't have the answers rather than arguing and making someone feel totally unwelcome in the store.. This was a difficult..experience..and it pretty much ruined my day..I have never ever been in a shoe store that seemed so lacking in customer service..I certainly hope they will do better in the future.

Very nice,1st time in there was last Saturday (2/27/21). Wide selection of shoes, etc but just didn't see any I liked. Have to go back again at some point.

I got 2 pairs of shoes under the buy 1 get 1/2 off. The cashier charged me full price for both and I noticed when I saw on my email receipt when I got back home so I had to go back and the manager asked me for both shoes the was going to return and recharge my card another manager overheard said it'll be easier to just give her the difference on her card for the half off plus $5 for having to come in. Mind you this took like 20 minutes and as I leave the store calculations tell me I got $2.50 not $5 so.... Needless to say watch your receipts

The staff here is very helpful, Nisha and Jasmine were patient with us and did everything they could to make sure we were taken care of. Also, prices are very fair; I really like the constant buy one get one half off promotion.
