The volunteer staff at Newark Bike Project was able to get me back up and running quickly when I came in with a bent wheel. It was too damaged to repair, and the found a nicely priced replacement set and swapped out the cassette in no time. Highly recommended.
Bike rides better than before with the new wheels.

I was there twice recently to donate bikes. It was hoppin'. Lots of bikes going out the door. If you need a bike, consider a visit. If you have an old bike in the garage you are not using, donate it. Their mechanics may be able to convert it to useful transportation and find a buyer.

Stock was not impressive, way overpriced. Staff was friendly, hence the 3 stars.
Edit- In response to the owners response- I was just giving an honest review of the prices, a new items price is cut in half as soon as it's no longer new, inoperable project bikes were priced around $100 and severely outdated and well used bikes were as high as $500. I'm giving this information not as a criticism but as a honest review of the stock so customers can have a good idea of whether or not they wish to travel across state lines to visit this store.

the staff are all very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I had just bought a used bike which needed extensive repairs. I was a "walk-in" and they were not too busy and it was one of the days they do some "charity" pro bono work. They repaired EVERYTHING on my bike right there and then and only charged me for the parts! My bike went from non-rideable disaster to dream in a couple hours! I was stunned and needless to say, very grateful! I even returned with my GF's bike a week later and they did the same thing! An amazing place doing amazing work! They have a large selection of refurbished bikes too! Thanks Guys!!!!

Very knowledgeable and helpfully. They really know there bike stuff. Plenty of bikes to purchase and everyone is friendly. This is the place to go to take classes if you want to learn how to fix issues with your bike. Dave, Katelyn , Josh and the others are great!!!

Different business plan? Absolutely when the customer gets to apply the price on the used refurbished bikes and service that's offered here. BTW there's no charge for air.

Had a bike on hold for my mom while they were fixing the brakes on the bike she had chosen. She was told she would receive a call when the brakes had been repaired. She had not received a call so she decided to call to check on the status of the repair and was told the brakes had still not been repaired. That same night they sold the bike to another customer. When my mom called again the next day to check on the status of the brake repair she was informed the bike had been sold by mistake.

Great customer service on the spot very helpful and knowledgeable mechanics, I brought a used MTB santacruz bike to add some air to the marzocchi fork which requires a special valve adapter, 2 mechanics knew a lot about MTB, they helped me on the spot and checked the bike quick visual inspection. I will bring the bike for a tune up next time.
