This is one of the best SEPTA stations I’ve seen and been to. It’s a great place to watch Amtrak and SEPTA go by as it’s on the Northeast Corridor and it’s an express station, which is another bonus if you live in the area. From what I’ve heard, the ticket lady is one of the nicest people working for SEPTA.

Joann is fantastic as station master/mistress. The only problem is parking. If you don't get the early trains, you are basically out of luck for afternoon travel.

The woman who works the ticket window in the morning is unlike any other SEPTA employee, actually is a nice person, helpful, knows her job, answers any question, I could go on and on. She should be employee of the year and put in the position of training the 90% of the rude ignorant morons that work SEPTA ticket windows. No wait, dont do that, we'll lose her. Double her salary or something though.

they are always closed they should find someone who can work so you cab get the day pass. its inconvenient for those who live in the area because you need a day pass and they are not open so you gotta spend more money on the train get a 1 way ticket then spend more to get back

It would be OK if parking wasn't such a nightmare. All of the geniuses from Delaware park here thinking they are saving a buck, but they are not. It's a Zone 3 station and all of the DE stations are Zone 4 which is a little bit more.. BUT CLAYMONT STATION HAS FREE AND AVAILABLE PARKING, MARCUS HOOK DOES NOT. It's 20 bux a month so the net result is that they are spending MORE money and contributing to MORE traffic and Wasting MORE TIME AND GAS. They just can't see the big picture and get past the cost of the pass despite the fact that they pay 20 extra a month to park and spend more in gas anyway. So now the people who actually live near the train station have no parking available. Apparently people love sitting on the parking lot that is i95 to get to a train that just left the neighborhood THEY JUST CAME FROM THEMSELVES. The level of stupidity is amazing. All express trains go to the Delaware stops, so it's not a schedule thing. There are only a couple peak hour locals that stop at Marcus Hook and they don't take those trains anyway.

This is the last station in zone 3. Parking can be difficult. Station could use an upgrade.
