Cabins were simple and clean'ish (dust, dirt, some dead bugs are acceptable in the woods). The kitchenette was good enough for the days we were there (NO COFFEE POT š¤£). The mattresses were plastic coated so bring wipes or a sheet to cover. The fire pit was nice but you have to bring or buy wood šŖµ because you can't use the branches or fallen wood around you.
Just remember to reserve/purchase online and verify by phone with the park before going.

Well, the weather didn't work in our favor, but the great campground made the trip better! We camped in the G Loop which is walk in sites only. I was happy to see they had carts available to cart your things back to your site. It was a nice quiet park, big camp sites which nice flat areas to pitch a tent. Nice hiking paths around the pond! Would be great for a lowkey weekend when we aren't getting several inches of rain!

I havenāt camped back here to review that aspect but Iāve done some walking through the trails as well as fishing off the waters edge and I really enjoy being out here. Feels like an escape from the city and people for just a little bit without handing to drive out too far.

We are novice campers/park reviewers, but we brought our family to stay in their cabins. Had a great time! The cabin was nice, clean, even had air conditioning. Porch screening was in need of repair but we still enjoyed the porch. Nice fire pit and grill. Zero receiption for me using Verizon wireless. Kids loved the cabin, the oark, open grass fields to play in. We also enjoyed the waterpark.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Park was clean and we'll maintained.
We will definitely come back!

Inexpensive great place only bad thing is if you reserve a pavilion you don't get your money back if you have to reschedule for bad weather

We averaged $32 / night for W / E50. This is is a wonderful state campground with sites under high trees providing lots of shade - especially appreciated with 4 straight days in the 90s!!!. Our back in dirt site was just long enough for our 37 foot motorhome. We did need to use a few boards under the rear tires to level the motor home. We would definitely stay here again!!!
Dover including the Air Mobiity Museum, Rehobeth Beach, Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and so much more are within an hour of this campground.

The latest in my attempt to try all the DE State Park Camp Grounds, Killens Pond last weekend was great! I went early in the season, and alone (with my dog) so I didn't have the opportunity to go in the nature center, there was no boat rental, etc, but the views are AMAZING. The campground is well laid out, where I was in the community but also we weren't on top of each other or too close. Trails were well maintained, there were some good loops and overlaps that meant we could hike all day.
