My first experience camping, and I am glad we came there. It was a very calm atmosphere and everyone was nice. The grounds and the bathrooms were clean. I like the fact they have a pool and a basketball court. Walmart and other stores are less than 15 mins away. Just overall a great family experience. I will definitely be coming back.

Staff was friendly as can be. However the grounds need to be sprayed for flies. There is a smell of chickens( its deleware) overall its a good place to stay minus the flies.

G & R campground is a hidden gem in DE. We stayed over Labor Day weekend. We arrived late with intentions of staying one night as we were attending a nearby event. The bath houses were clean and the lots were shaded. The owner was friendly and accommodating. We ended up staying another night. It is 30 minutes from Lewes and Rehoboth beaches. We will definitely be returning.

Truly enjoyed my recent visit to G & R run by Mr. Norman and his family. I spent 2 nights here for Dee's Fall Yoga Festival. I felt welcome and safe on the grounds, which are clearly well taken care of. I would highly recommend this campground to all and definitely plan to return.

Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to stay at this campground. After reading the largely positive reviews and given the proximity to my new job, I was hoping to stay at this campground. I've been attempting to reach them through multiple phone calls, voicemails, and by email for several weeks. I managed to get them on the phone twice, and was told I would receive a call back both times which I never received. All other phone calls went unanswered. I've regrettably decided to take my business elsewhere at the expense of both rates and commute time to work. I wish the owners of the campground the best, as they do seem like friendly people. I do recommend transitioning to an online reservation format to prevent losing potential business in the future due to communication shortfalls.

The campground is very over priced. The restrooms are not the best. The main reason I gave them one star is the smell of chicken coups is horrible. We couldn’t sit outside or open our windows. We hardly spent anytime at the campground due to the smell. The only positive is the gentleman who checked us in was very nice.
