Nice restrooms, close to the fish hatchery, every site that had electric had water as well. Right below the dam so if you like fishing trout this would be ideal. Grass was not mowed recently enough at the campsite though.

Just drove through after a fishing trip at genes so judge my review based on that, but seems like a well-maintained campground. It has a playground for kids, restrooms and showers, and easy access to the river to do some fishing. I saw many people wade out into the river from this site while fishing at Gene's. If I visit here again, I may consider just camping out.

We live in southwest Missouri and we camp several times a year. This is one of our favorite places to do so! We have 1 child which also loves this place. The people are nice, quiet and respectful here and there is a child playground and every road is paved for nice bike riding. We always have a great time and will always come back to this place.

Campsite is convenient to access. It is clean and has very clean shower areas. It is a safe place for kids and even has a playground. As of 2022 there is a Dollar General within a mile or two and it is just over the hill from the lake.

Great place to camp. Spend a lot of time. Just getting away from it all. But they need to put in a place to do laundry

Beautiful and peaceful area on the River, right near the Dam. You can fish, swim, bring your boat, etc. There's a lot of everything close by, if needed. We will be coming back for sure.

If you can get a spot with a river view this would be a great campsite. The 30 amp loop is nice, but you're probably there for the river anyway!

I've been coming here for many years! Great RV hookups and camping. They have private bathrooms with showers. Great trout fishing.

Campground was clean and quiet Well patrolled by security But RV parking was very tight too close to neighbors-at the spots away from river
