Haven’t been riding the train since covid and decided to ride to save on gas but one thing hasn’t changed! Train over 30 minutes lates never reliable.. much money we pay we should be reimbursed for this.

I visited this station many times.
Quite happy with the availability at parking lot.
There are only 2 platforms (one platform to Philadelphia and other platform is from Philadelphia).
There is no place to sit or there is no shelter. This is hard true.
Another strange and awful thing is that....
whenever train reaches this station from Philadelphia, the train stops slant. For first timers here, it is hard to get down even.

It's definitely not the best SEPTA station I've been to. There are not many places to sit on the inbound platform (going to Philly). Also to get from the parking lot to the inbound platform you need to go through an underpass that's pretty dirty and could be sketchy at night. On the positive side there is usually tons of spaces in the free parking lot and the ride from Claymont to Philadelphia is quick.

Tons of FREE PARKING HERE and even though it's Zone 4, most morons from DE still insist on driving out of their way to Marcus Hook station where parking is 20 bux and full by 6:30 in the morning! (Thanks to all of the Delaware license plates!) You aren't saving any money by doing that geniuses! The extra gas, time and traffic more than make up for the Zone 3 / Zone 4 cost difference! So we have people that actually live NEAR the station that cannot use it! I wouldn't be surprised if some PA people actually drove backwards to Claymont because of this! It's like playing musical train stations and a battle of IQ levels.
Edit: confirmed.. some people from PA are forced to backtrack to this station to get into Philly.. saw it with my own 2 eyes when I dropped off co-workers here when SEPTA cancelled all the trains without notice as usual. Thanks idiots for taking up all of the Marcus Hook parking at your own detriment.

It is great that this place has free parking and lots of spots, but that station could be upgraded to have signage or digital boards.
