The park was beautiful, and clean. Enjoyed my stay. However when trying to extend my stay the system would not allow me to book a reservation due to a 3 night minimum for holiday weekend. Even though I already stayed 1 night and was willing to reserve the 2 additional nights. Customer service could not help me. So I had to cut my weekend short and the park has vacant campsite that can’t be rented. Sounds like a system flaw. Everyone I spoke with was very kind and understanding yet there’s nothing they could do. Sadly I am told this is the process for all lake Lanier parks so be sure to plan ahead or you’ll be discouraged. Because customer service won’t be able to assist you.

LOVE this place! Frank the camp host is WONDERFUL. Actually both couples running it are super!! The sites are spread out, not cramped all together. There is a basketball court, beach, playground area. It's pet friendly. The bathrooms are kept up. We visit this one more than any other on Lake Lanier.

I have traveled in my RV over most of this country, and Bolding Mill has always been my favorite. Sadly, this visit I noticed that it doesn't seem to be kept up like it used to. The grass was high when I got here, and still has not been cut almost 2 weeks later. The campers next to us left a couple of days ago leaving some debris. That site has not been cleaned. The bathrooms needed some cleaning as well. Come on Bolding Mill. Take care of it like you used to so that it can be my favorite campground again.

We liked the distance between sites and the lake views. We have a couple big complaints. The grass was never cut around our site and they only have one dumpster area. No dog stations either. It would help alot since there are signs to clean up after your dog. We always bring bags with us but I saw a few who didn't and the stations would help.

Bolding Mill Campground is my favorite Campground in Georgia which makes this review very hard to do. We were there early August 2022. The grass was knee high everywhere, making the bugs even worse. No storm debris had been cleaned out for the season. Sites are not cleaned between each reservation. The bathrooms weren't clean and needed some work. All these things would not have happened a year ago. Bolding Mill, please take care of my favorite campground!

Like to come here and relax but bathroom needs to be clean more often. For instance , dirty diapers have been in the trash for 4-5 days and it makes bathroom stink. Some shower has so much hair and almost clogging the drain. A park itself is nice and it just needs more up keep because all these campers share few bathrooms. And of course the ground needs more mowing and not just the sidewalk and edges

Not really a bad spot in the campground. Obviously some are more desirable than others. We were on campsite 74 and the only negative were dead trees and dead tree limbs. We actually got a small hole in our owning because a dead limb crashed through. (That’s the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.) Some sites have more shade than others and better lake views but the map can aid you in finding your perfect spot. We saw a deer swimming in the lake and some mallards and a heron!!!

A great but popular campground directly on Lake Lanier. Camping spots are paved and flat. Lots of trees for shade. You need to find out how to use the filter function of the Recreation.gov app to find an open site since it is so popular.

Excellent place to unwind with friends and family for a long weekend. Also pet friendly! Water is clear and camping grounds are well mantained. Recommend camping sites 30, 34 & 35.

This campground is pretty solid. The camp staff are very nice. There isn't a camp store but they sell firewood ($6) and ice ($3). You have to have exact change so bring a wad of small bills. The sites are well-maintained. We prefer sites further from the bathroom and such because they are quieter. Check out sattelite of sites because shade is really hit or miss, especially if you plan to tent. 90% of patrons here for Memorial Day 22 were in campers. There are small sandy beaches scattered around the campground, unmarked on the camp map but visible on sattelite. The actual camp "beach" is a poured concrete slope into the water, like a 150' long boat ramp. Most of the rest of the shore is a several foot drop to the water. If you like power boat stuff, Lanier is your place. If you want to kayak or paddleboard or swim, the water is great, but it will be choppy after 10am from wakes. Still a good time!
