I went with a friend for her birthday. The experience with all the animals was incredible. I wasn't sure I'd brave the cold temp to get into the water, but I took the plunge anyway. I'm so glad I did. Marco and Polo didn't disappoint and soon, the water didn't seem so cold anymore.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I enjoyed it so much that I'm taking my adult son back for HIS birthday.
It was the perfect diversion/stress relief from finals week. Worth every penny.

Tours start promptly at their scheduled time. Staff were very nice and helpful. The otter swim lasted a good amount of time, and the staff in the pool with us took great pictures with their camera. They sent them to us a few days later via email at no extra charge.

What a great day! Barn Hill has a very knowledgeable and professional staff. I did the "Swim with the Otters Experience," which included: a guided tour of and information about the animals at the facility, a chance to touch/hold several of their animal ambassadors, the opportunity to hang out/feed the kangaroos, sloths, and aardvark, and then an unforgettable time in the pool with Olive and Trident (two of their resident Asian Short-Clawed Otters). It was well worth the money!

Absolutely amazing experience! The yoga instructor was fantastic and I really enjoyed our session. On top of that, we got to hang out with kangaroos! There were 5 Joeys hanging out and bouncing around while we stretched. After the session, we got a little bit of time to pet and hang out with the roos! They're super friendly and incredibly soft!

Totally awesome experience! Was originally a mobile educational animal encounter, but now they’re growing and expanding their facility/activities. Where else can you be up close and personal with sloths or hold a baby kangaroo? Very friendly and informative staff. Can’t wait to come back to do kangaroo yoga and “hang” with sloths and other cool animals! Will be recommending to family and friends who are traveling to Delaware or Louisiana!

10/10 recommend! The staff are knowledgeable and accommodating. The facility is clean and the animals well taken care of. Definitely recommend doing the otter swim too. It was an awesome experience.

I was there 6/2/22. I had a great time. I have always wanted to get up close with otters. I would recommend this to any animal lover. I’m ready to go again. Besides the otter swim , we gave treats to other cool animals .

We had a fabulous experience at kangaroo yoga. The price was reasonable, the kangaroos were closely watched by handlers to avoid any personal items being chewed on during yoga, and there was ample time to walk around and pet the sweet animals after. Friendly staff, well kept facility. Who knew you could meet kangaroos in delaware? Highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous experience! So happy for a staff that genuinely cares about the well being of these amazing creatures. What an experience to hold and socialize with these animals.

I went on an animal encounter tour here today and LOVED it. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable, and I could tell how much they cared about the animals. They are a growing animal preserve and it was nice to get to really interact with some of the animals they have there. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Delaware!
