Horrible customer service! I was told by a customer service rep a few weeks ago to call the county any time we have a plumbing problem before we call a commercial plumber and the county would take care of it. I called today and was told by a very rude employee that they only come out if it is a toilet issue. I attempted to explain to him my previous call, and he wouldn't stop talking long enough for me to do so, overtalked me in a loud voice, and refused to even hear what I was saying. I was trying to tell him that we must have received the wrong info when I talked to the rep, but couldn't do so as he just wouldn't stop talking long enough for me to say it. I ended up hanging up on him. This occurred on 3/28 around 4pm, so whoever was working and taking emergency calls at that time seriously needs some customer service training or he shouldn't be speaking to the public!

The county doesn’t care as long as they get paid. It seems that almost very department in Anne arundel county is over run by overpaid incompetent “people” who couldn’t make it anywhere else.

Kevin and Joe from the DPW just left at 1 am after making sure our sewer line is flowing as it should. It took them a couple hours and some ingenuity but they went the extra mile for us, testing the final solution repeatedly to be sure the line was clear. Thanks guys. They've been at it since 6:30 in the morning.

I called a few minutes ago to verify some basic information about a property that we intend to build on. The gentleman I spoke with was quite rude and condescending. I was told “I don’t know what to tell you “several times when asking basic information about what was available at the property and protocol of making sure everything is set up as it should be.nnYou may want to have a discussion with your employees about actually wanting to do a good job over just doing their job.

Had an issue with my sewage backing up. My husband did his best to figure out the problem on his own but the blockage wasn’t in our home. We called public works to have them come check the line. He came and checked the clean out pipe in our front yard and when he hit the blockage(just inside the pipe) he said “it was on us, not their problem!” and gave my husband a photocopy of their policy. He was literally at our house 2 minutes, he didn’t offer us any advice, and he certainly was not pleasant. He wrote in his report that the county line was all clear. We called a local plumber to come out and he snaked the drain, and found a plastic bottle, roots and a rock all well with in the county’s side of the pipes, which are their responsibility, yet the public works guy stated in his report “the line was clear” & it certainly was not. I wish I could upload the photos.
