Home - Ireland - County Wexford

County Wexford is a coastal county in southeastern Ireland. The capital, Wexford town, is known for its medieval lanes and modern National Opera House. The 13th-century tollgate, West Gate Heritage Tower, is by the 12th-century Selskar Abbey. West of town, the outdoor Irish National Heritage Park re-creates eras from Irish history. On the coast, Curracloe Beach has rolling dunes. Rosslare Beach is a water sports hub.
