Home - Micronesia - Pohnpei
Pohnpei is an island in the Federated States of Micronesia, in the western Pacific Ocean. It has reefs and a mountainous, jungle-covered interior. At Nan Madol, on the east coast, ancient ruins include basalt temples and burial vaults. The Kepirohi Waterfall tumbles over large rocks. Outside the town of Kolonia, old Japanese Army guns sit near Sokehs Rock, an imposing cliff. Offshore, Palikir Pass has surf breaks.
